Rope with highest breaking strength
Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group (BBRG) is now offering DSC8 PI MAX, a high performance compacted double parallel laid rope construction, with all the strands within the rope being spun/ twisted together in one operation. The rope is then subjected to a final compacting process. An additional unique feature is the plastic impregnation of the core. This type of rope can only be used where both ends are fixed and the load prevented from rotating.
DSC8 PI Max is ideal as a hoist rope on overhead cranes or as a luffing rope on many industrial crane applications.
Travis Buck, global segment director of cranes and industrial, says, “DSC8 PI MAX is our strongest of all non-rotation resistant ropes. It provides a stable rope structure, thanks to the unique double parallel laid rope design with plastic impregnation (PI). This high performance rope achieves a very round and smooth surface because of the final compaction process (MAX), resulting in exceptional service life due to reduced outer wear and it’s resistance to crushing in multilayer spooling.”
BBRG understands the demanding requirements of the industrial crane industry, and offers total cost solutions. Working together with crane manufacturers, BBRG is one of the most trusted and reliable suppliers of ropes and solutions in the industry.
